I dove head first into the world of fountain pens starting off the Pilot V Pen (disposable), Pilot Kakuno, Pilot Metropolitan and finally the Pilot Falcon. The Falcon was definitely a huge jump from some of the entry level pens I've been using and of course, there's a massive difference in performance. The aesthetics are also beautiful with the 14k gold trim and the 14k nib. It's worth it's weight in gold...literally :) The Pilot Falcon comes in a variety of styles and the one that I tested was the Black Resin Body with Gold Trim. Weighing in at 19grams, it's a lighter pen and super ergonomic. For those that like a heftier feeling pen, the Pilot Falcon is also available in a Metal body. DYK, that the Pilot Falcon was name after the unique looking nib? The nib is slightly curved like the beak of a Falcon which also provides some extra flex in the nib writing.
