Perkins Engines launch new diesel electric hybrid powertrain solution, 13 litre diesel engine platform and battery solutions at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. On its ‘Together we Power Ahead’ themed stand, Peter Haddock talks to expert Paul Muller. We walk around the stand and discuss the development of the new battery solutions since being launched a Bauma and the official launch of its diesel electric hybrid powertrain solution. Paul also introduces the new 13 litre engine platform which is a major step forward in power and performance from a smaller footprint. Paul: “The new hybrid powertrain solution is suitable for a wide range of off-highway applications, including backhoe loaders and telehandlers. "The system we are showcasing at ConExpo consists of a scalable 48-volt battery module, powershift transmission, 20 kW motor-generator unit, inverter, and an advanced energy control module.
