There were quite a few revisions of Didaktik CZ computers: Gama '87, Had problems running ZX Spectrum software. Gama '88, Engineers thought that 87 was not fully compatible after all. They had to solve problems to preserve these bugs, making Spectrum software to run on Didaktik. Gama '89, Many modifications here and improved compatibility. Didaktik M: Model 90 - First model with ROM 90. Model 91 - With better keyboard and ROM 91, not around for long time. Model 92 - Model 91 with major changes in ROM (ROM 92). Model 93 - the last ROM, some small improvements. The ULA (video & logic array chip) is different from the one used in the original Spectrum. It's a Russian (USSR) circuitry design, and it results in the screen being square almost 1:1, instead of rectangle 4:3. Because of these (CCCP) Russian ICs, the Didaktik M was actually more compatible with Russian Spectrum clones (like the Pentagons etc.), than with original Sinclair ZX Spectrum. The Didaktik M sold as a 64 KB RAM computer but only 48 KB are available. The Didaktik Kompakt is in fact the same computer with a built-in floppy drive on the right side of the unit. A 3-Channel stereo sound interface, called the "Melodik" was also available, as well as a 3.5" external floppy drive called the "D80".
