This is a low-volume demo/comparison. These are bedroom volumes. This means that the non-master volume Carr Slant 6v DP (running 6L6;s for about 40 watts) is getting its clean tones by having the input volume pretty low. Conversely, the Boogie MKIIB is equipped with a master volume - therefore the clean tone you hear in this video is achieved on this amp by cranking the input volume to about 6 and keeping the master volume very low at about 1. Obviously, this is not the optimum method of running these amps to get the best clean tones: that happens at very loud volume levels!
