NRM Election in Lira District Postponed Due to Unruly Crowds

NRM party structure Election The NRM mainstream and women’s election for Lira District has been postponed.   Delegates had gathered at Ogur Seed Secondary School in Ogur sub county Lira District, the venue for the election.   Details:   Ambience:   By 10am, delegates brought in school buses by different candidates had arrived at Ogur Seed Secondary school, the venue for the election.     The process which started calmly in the morning turned rowdy in late afternoon when delegates who voted for workers league and Entrepreneurship refused to leave the venue with intent to vote.   Ambience   This forced Moses Okello, the District Registrar to postponed the election citing petition which he received earlier morning.   He said the postponed election will be held on a later date and urged the delegates to be calm and Peaceful.   Bite ….Moses Okello, the registrara.   However, both candidates for the position of District chairperson: Linda Agnes Auma and Sam Engola are confident that they will both win despite both accusing each other of election malpractice.   Voxpop…….
