Actualmente, en Europa, sólo existen dos regiones en las que perdura el desplazamiento del ganado de largo recorrido: en la región de Escandinavia con la trashumancia de renos y en la Península Ibérica con las ovejas. En España cada oveja trashumante traslada diariamente unas 5.000 semillas, conectando así ecosistemas, mitigando el cambio climático y manteniendo viva una cultura tradicional y de conocimiento. Esta historia relata el simbólico viaje de una semilla de Abedul desde los Alpes Escandinavos a Extremadura. __ In today’s Europe, there are only two regions in which long-distance seasonal movement of livestock continues: in the region of Scandinavia with the transhumance of reindeer and in the Iberian Peninsula with sheep.
