I tried to think of a way I could explain how doing bigger projects based on concepts would yield more long term knowledge as opposed to racing to cover topics in Social Studies. Our simulations on WWI, WWII and the Cold War create so much student interest and excitement that students remember what happened in them for years. The real question becomes: If they don't remember it after the test, what have you accomplished?
