I put together a few short clips on some EL GP7's in action in the Conrail era. The sound movies are not the best of quality, but I'm sure most will enjoy these old classics. It taken from old Kodak Super 8MM sound film that I took in July and August 1977. So the sound is live, and it is not dubbed on. The 1st clip you see EL #1233 CR#5922 CR#5974 coming off the Bergen County Line at Ridgewood Junction, Glen Rock, NJ. WJ tower controls the plant at this location, and is out of sight up by the signals. The power will make some crossover moves, run around his train, and head down the Mainline (seen in the second clip) to make its set-offs and pickups at Paterson, NJ. The next clip is a single GP7 heading west on the EL Bergen County Line across the meadowlands at East Rutherford, NJ with a short local of interesting cars, and a EL Dunsmir Caboose bringing up the rear. Next clip is a GP7 and a switcher with a local on the old Lackawanna, and it also sports a Dunsmir caboose. (On of my favorite cabooses) The final clip, and wish I had more to add, is 4 EL GP7's #1238-#1239-#1232-#1241 heading west on the four track mainline at HoHoKus, NJ.
