In this episode of NFP Conversations which was recorded live during the 2020 celebration of National NFP Awareness Week, host Theresa Notare discusses the topic of fertility Apps and Natural Family Planning (NFP) with guests Michael Manhart, PhD and Richard Fehring, PhD, RN. Dr. Manhart is the former executive director of the Couple to Couple League International (ccli.org). He has a doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and worked in Research and Development with Procter & Gamble. Dr. Manhart and his wife have served as volunteer Sympto-Thermal Method teachers with the Couple to Couple League for over 30 years. Dr. Richard Fehring, PhD, RN is Professor Emeritus and Director of the Marquette University College of Nursing Institute for Natural Family Planning in Milwaukee (marquette.edu/nursing/natural-family-planning.php). Dr. Fehring received his doctorate in nursing from The Catholic University of America (Washington, DC). Dr. Fehring has published over 180 articles and book chapters, co-edited three books and has generated over 3 million dollars in research and foundation grants on various NFP projects. His research interests include effectiveness of fertility awareness methods, marital responses to family planning, and religious influences on human sexuality.
