I killed Kael'thas Sunstrider - Tempest Keep for the first time last week, and I think that this ancient little 40man encounter could be thought of as the kindergarten-form of Kael's Phase 3. Like the Kael Phase 3: There's multiple mobs and a necessary kill order (1. Princess, 2. Vem, 3. Lord Kri), and the absolute need to burn down a certain mob at the start. There's episodes where you lose control of your character and need to bring the fight back together as best as you can afterward. There's positioning concerns due to an occasional large knockback on both you and your pet which is capable of despawning your pet due to distance. All mobs drop aggro after every fear cast, which mimics Kael's mobs' behavior when your pet becomes disoriented (Lord Sanguinar's fear is different). Silithid Royalty's "Vem" mob changes targets and comes for you and has a knockback (a.k.a. Thaladred the Darkener). Some differences from Kael's P3: there is less damage going out, there IS a need to INTERRUPT (silencing shot). Vem has a fast charge, as opposed with Thaladred the Darkener who walks slowly toward you and can be avoided. Also, there's no phase timer hanging over your head - so technically, you're free to noob up the encounter for as long as you care to. But noobing it up isn't advised because if you keep at that fight long enough without actually killing the mobs, you will eventually die from the repeated fall damage, at least. And if the first burn phase goes badly, you're left with all of your big stuff on cooldown and the mob you need to kill first being back at full health. You really do need to make the burn work. Coincidently - - the boss you have to kill to open up this part of Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (The Prophet Skeram) has similarities to Kael's Phase 4. Like Kael, that boss will MC you, have you kill your pet, and despawn in your face. You end up using a misdirect and LOSing that boss and his later-spawned duplicates behind a pillar, and using kill command to move things along. Sound familiar?
