This video I show the work it takes to change the rear differential fluid in a 2006 Honda CRV. This work would be much easier with the car on a lift and with the right tools. This is how you do it in the backyard. Tools used: Genuine OEM Differential Oil (Type-II DPSF) https://amzn.to/47KTXc9 Crush washers https://amzn.to/4n4S52D Transfer pump (fits 1 quart bottle) https://amzn.to/4mgR9qQ Pump used in the video was from harbor freight and did not fit. This link will fit the smaller bottles. Serpentine belt tightener tool. https://amzn.to/3K5NjU3 This tool was modified (shortened) and is thin enough to fit in between to loosen the nuts. If you don’t remove the shroud next to the keys, you will need a tool like this because a regular socket will not fit in there.
