In Spring 2013 Fender announced they'd be releasing a couple of Mexican made Strats & Teles finished using a nitro cellulose lacquer (just like the expensive USA made Vintage replicas they make). They certainly look a little different, with a deeper shine than a regular polyurethane lacquer, and they are definately going to age in a "prettier" way. But do they sound different.....??? We take a look at some pretty new Strats from the Fender Mexican team - these are basically the same as a standard MIM Strat, but with a lovely looking flame maple veneer on the top - thats the only difference, so nuff said about these, but if you want to know more just follow this link - http://www.andertons.co.uk/blog/guita... Chappers is using an Orange Rockerverb 2x12 combo with no pedals, & Lee is using a Fender hot Rod Deluxe with a LovePedal Eternity E6 drive pedal.
