Diving Llaneilian / Porth Eilian | Diving North Wales | Shore diving Anglesey | Dive site guide

Our first visit to LLaneilian (Porth Eilian) and certinly won't be our last. There was a vast amount of marine life on this dive. We saw Velvet Swimming Crabs, Candy Striped Flat worms, Cat Sharks and a Compass Jellyfish to name a few. At 10m max depth with little or no current this is an underwater photographers dream site when the viz is better that is. Bull Bay is a village and bay on the northern coast of Anglesey, Wales, close to Amlwch. Its Welsh name, Porth Llechog, means "sheltered bay". The English name is derived from Pwll y Tarw, which is located near the shore close to the bay. The village is located on the A5025. There is a slipway here, roadside parking and seating. About 100 yards behind the beach is a further small car park with toilets. Next to the beach is the Bull Bay Hotel, which looks to have closed now. The beach looks out towards the island of East Mouse.
