Making a Rose Gold Ring from Scratch

Today's ring is a solid Rose Gold Ring from scratch. Patrick starts with pure gold, silver, and copper. He then weighs it to make sure he has the perfect mixture for this rose gold alloy. Once these are weighed he melts them to a liquid. He then pours the liquid into a graphite mold to make a small bar. The bar is stretched into a thinner wire using a jewelry roller. This straight piece is then hammered into a circle over a bar. I trim off the excess rose gold and use the Orion Laser Welder to close the circle.
