From the Car park it is a short walk over the small bridge, then turn left on the path. If you go under the fence on your right, you can walk across the rugby pitch to the rugby club house. A flat, rural grass and trail course taking in a couple of laps of half the playing fields split by a lap round Dishley pool and a snaking loop along footpaths and the Canal and River Soar towpath. The course starts at the southern edge of the playing fields near the end of the rugby pitches and finishes at the Rugby Club - around 300m from the start. The course consists of grass and earth and gravel paths, and can have some muddy areas especially after rain, Trail Shoes are recommended following a period of persistent rainfall. The course crosses the Black Brook over narrow bridges at three points, please take care here. Part of the route uses the beautiful River Soar towpath, take care along this section and please share the space with other river users. There is short narrow stretch designated as ‘No overtaking’. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this event.
