Highlights of left winger Mike Donnelly during Michigan State's national championship season, 1985-86. A walk-on with Michigan State, Donnelly's 110 goals is fourth all-time in MSU history. Donnelly set the NCAA single season goals record in 1985-86 with 59 goals. His 59th goal was the game-winning goal in the NCAA Championship versus Harvard. On December 14, 1985, Donnelly tied the MSU record for most goals in a game with 5. His fifth goal was the overtime game winner. The goal can be watched at 0:43 of this video. After Michigan State, Donnelly played 11 seasons in the NHL. His most successful season was with the 1992-93 Stanley Cup finalist Los Angeles Kings.
