The C200 Cinema camera. Canon announced this new cinema camera back in May this year (2017) As soon as I know this camera. I pre-ordered mine straight away. But Canon Australia couldn’t get the stock until November. And November was my busiest time of the year (Wedding). So I did not have time to review this lovely camera until now. First, build quality is spectacular. Second, this is the Canon first internal 12 Bit RAW camera in their cinema line. Even the upper brothers C300 Mark II, C500 or C700 cannot record RAW internally. So this camera is for some people who likes to a lot of run and gun video and did not like to carry an external recorder for RAW shooting. Then this C200 is a perfect solution. I personally do not need RAW that much for my work. But I did this video test at 12 Bit RAW to see how far this camera can really go. It turns out really good. Love the image coming out from the camera. The DCI 4K is super sharp and detail. Comparing with all the 4K DSLR or mirrorless cameras that I have used before. This C200 is just another level. I’ll be doing some more test with the camera, maybe a part 2 or comparison video coming in the near future.
