"Sinners" leads Oscars nominations 2026 with 16 nods, breaking record set by "Titanic" and more

"Sinners" is taking a bite out of the Oscars. Ryan Coogler's popular gangster musical vampire movie is up for 16 nominations at the 98th Academy Awards including best picture, actor (Michael B. Jordan), supporting actress (Wunmi Mosaku) and supporting actor (Delroy Lindo). It breaks the previous record of 14 held by "Titanic," "All About Eve" and "La La Land." "One Battle After Another" earned 13 nods, announced Jan. 22, while "Marty Supreme" and "Sentimental Value" each received nine.
