RECIPE: Pierogi and Sausage Casserole Ingredients: I box (16oz) of frozen pierogies (large or small pierogies will work) 1 package (14 oz) turkey sausage 1 can chicken broth 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 a green bell pepper, chopped 1/4 to 1/2 white onion, diced 2 tablespoons butter pepper 1 cup Colby cheese, shredded Directions: 1. In a greased 13x9" casserole spread out frozen pierogies in a single layer. 2. Cut up sausage into bite-sized pieces. Saute the sausage, green bell pepper, and onion in butter over medium-high heat for several minutes or until slightly tender. Spread mixture over pierogies. 3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup. Pour over the top of the sausages in the casserole. 4. Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake in a 375-degree oven for 30 minutes. 5. Remove the foil. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese melts. Enjoy!!
