In the second part of the Silco pellet test I push them further out at the range. I also add the JSB Exact Jumbo Alloy 11.75 grain pellets to compare them. Both pellets are both in the light weight category for both lead and alloy. The tests were carried out at 25 yards, 30 yards and 40 yards, with an extra 45 yards thrown in for the best pellet during the test. The Silco pellets can be purchased from NM Products near Sheffield and were a product made by Crosman for the original Brocock rifle brand. As far as I am aware, these are no longer made, being the last of the stock, so once they are all gone, then that will be the last of them. I have been told that they are in the similar design to the Crosman Premier that come in the 1200 pellet cardboard box. The JSB Alloy pellets are fairly new to the UK and will be similar in design to the US Predator GTO pellets. These should be readily available in the future and as the World thinks more about the use of lead, we will probably see more pellets like this hit the market. The pellets in the test come in four different head sizes 5.50, 5.51, 5.52 and 5.53. The ones used in the test were 5.50. The results will be different from one barrel to the next, and depending on the size of the head of the pellet in use.
