"Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today, we are invited to contemplate God's call, the courage of faith, and the glory revealed in Christ through the day's biblical readings. In our reflection, we meditate on the First Reading (Genesis 12:1-4a), the Second Reading (2 Timothy 1:8b-10), and the Gospel of Matthew (17:1-9). These passages lead us to leave our securities, trust in divine promises, and recognize in Jesus the beloved Son of the Father. First Reading (Genesis 12:1-4a): In this passage from the book of Genesis, God calls Abram to leave his land, his relatives, and his father's house to go to the land that He would show him. It is a radical call, which demands trust and detachment. God promises to make Abram a great nation and bless all the families of the earth through him. Abram's response is simple and powerful: he departs, trusting in the Word of the Lord. This reading teaches us that true faith requires movement, courage, and willingness to follow God's plan, even when the path is not yet entirely clear. Second Reading (2 Timothy 1:8b-10): Saint Paul exhorts Timothy not to be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord, but to suffer for the Gospel with the strength that comes from God. The apostle reminds us that we were called not by our merits, but by divine grace, fully manifested in Christ Jesus, who conquered death and made life and immortality shine through the Gospel. This reading encourages us to live our faith with firmness and courage, even in the face of difficulties, trusting in the grace that sustains us. Gospel (Matthew 17:1-9): In the Gospel, we contemplate the Transfiguration of Jesus on the mountaintop. Before Peter, James, and John, Christ's face shines like the sun, and his garments become white as light. Moses and Elijah appear conversing with Him, revealing that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets. The Father's voice proclaims: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him!” The Transfiguration strengthens the disciples for the difficult times to come, showing them in advance the glory that passes through the cross. We too are invited to climb the mountain of prayer and listen to the beloved Son. These readings call us to trust in God's promises like Abraham, to witness to the Gospel with courage like Paul, and to recognize in Jesus the glory of the beloved Son. May we respond with faith to the divine call and allow the light of Christ to transform our lives. 📖 Readings of the Day: First Reading: Genesis 12:1-4a Second Reading: 2 Timothy 1:8b-10 Gospel: Matthew 17:1-9 🌟 Related Hashtags: #BibleReading #DailyReflection #God'sCall #Transfiguration #FaithAndTrust #GospelOfTheDay #ChristianLife #God'sPromises #ListenToTheSon #CatholicBible List of Top Keywords: God's Call, Abraham's Faith, Transfiguration of Jesus, Divine Promises, Christian Courage, Life in the Gospel, Glory of Christ, Grace of God, Christian Testimony, Listening to Jesus Become a member of this channel and gain Benefits: / @bibliacatolica Follow us also: TikTok: / bibliacatolicaonline Instagram: / bibliacatolica Telegram: https://t.me/bibliacatolicaonline Twitter: / bibliacatolica Facebook: https://fb.me/bibliacatolicaonline/ Pinterest: / bibliacatolica "
