Hi there! :D Welcome back to our annual Countdown to Halloween! This week we're making the Wraith's Putrid Cavity Mask from „Dead by Daylight“. I have to admit that this mask was a little bit of an improvisation. I know you guys have been asking for the OG Wraith mask, which we will definitely make, but I had no time to do it well. And I really don't want to rush my content just to make some deadline, that would be unfair because you deserve to see good stuff :D So, we're making another cosmetic of the Wraith and our boy is one week early. This is so that the actual second mask of the Countdown gets one more week of work in. It's almost ready, but I just hated the finish the paint left, so I'll strip it again, redo the paint, and then present it next week. Any other time I'd just show it to you anyway, because done is usually better than perfect, but Halloween is too important not to be perfect. As for building this mask, it was pretty fun overall. The lower part was made to give me some practice for our masks 4 and 5, which will also feature very large face shapes. And building a mask like this, with very dynamic and rough textures is always great. It just all comes together naturally if you tune out your mind a bit and let the material work in your favor. One little setback I had was making the outer shape of the chin, which I had to do twice. It would have been easier to build up a part of the chin with packing paper, so if you want to recreate the mask, try to add paper before the clay. So, hopefully I'll see you all again here next week with mask 2 that took an extra lap :D Don't forget to Like and Subscribe if you haven't already and until next week maybe check out my Insta (at)official_luna_rogers for behind the scenes info and too many cat pics.
