Nels J Tour • Tour of a working tug on the Great Lakes! ... Helen H Tour A surprise Friday after work treat! While driving across the bridge, I noticed the Edward H in the harbor making its way to the Munson, a phone call inquiring if the Monson was moving was made. Much to my surprise the offer for a ride came with the call! I cannot believe Mike turned around and met he at his dock! The video goes from arriving at the ship, to the docking process. Radio chatter between the Captain of the Munson and the Tug included. The Munson arrived to load ore after the Michipicoten, was attempting to dock behind the Michi at the Gravity Chutes. The wind did not allow that plan. They backed down the river and anchored waiting for a tug and the wind to subside. They did load their ore in fast mannor, departed the CN dock at 05:45 on May 06, heading out to Indiana Harbor. FYI, I did capture that departure as well.
