One of the top prospects in Ohio for the Class of 2026 is not getting the attention he deserves. In the modern era of college football recruiting, the days of prospects developing their skills may be lost, with coaches looking for instant on-field success and neglecting talent development, as exemplified by a prospect like Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton senior offensive lineman, Danny Fortson who looks like he's being overlooked despite having the physical size and skills needed for future success at the college level. Fortson, who is listed at 6-foot-5, 260-pounds, is the son of former University of Cincinnati basketball standout Danny Fortson, who played for the Bearcats from 1994-1997 before being drafted in the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and then traded the same night to the Denver Nuggets. The senior Fortson would play in the NBA from 1997 until 2007, and while his son has decided to turn his focus to a future in football, the athletic talent is easy to see. The following video is a small sampling of Fortson during his junior season as he helped the Vikings to a 10-3 overall mark and earn Co-Champions of the always tough Greater Miami Conference. At the time we posted this video, Fortson reports only an offer from Youngstown State.
