Various of demonstration STORYLINE: Hundreds of people gathered in the Czech capital, Prague, to condemn the second day of missile strikes by Russia against Ukraine. The protesters at Wenceslas Square demanded support for the country and displayed symbolic crosses with the names of the places hit by the Russian missiles. They also unfurled a giant Ukrainian flag and stood around it in silence. Some also held aloft umbrellas, symbolizing the country's air defenses. The protest came after Russian forces showered Ukraine with more missiles and munition-carrying drones on Tuesday after widespread strikes killed at least 19 people in an attack the U.N. human rights office described as “particularly shocking” and amounting to potential war crimes. Air raid warnings sounded throughout the country for a second straight morning as Ukrainian officials advised residents to conserve energy and stock up on water. Strikes in the capital and 12 other regions on Monday caused power outages and pierced the relative calm that had returned to Kyiv and many other cities far from the war's front lines. =========================================================== Clients are reminded: (i) to check the terms of their licence agreements for use of content outside news programming and that further advice and assistance can be obtained from the AP Archive on: Tel +44 (0) 20 7482 7482 Email: [email protected] (ii) they should check with the applicable collecting society in their Territory regarding the clearance of any sound recording or performance included within the AP Television News service (iii) they have editorial responsibility for the use of all and any content included within the AP Television News service and for libel, privacy, compliance and third party rights applicable to their Territory.
