https://razor-n-tape.fanlink.to/Palago Pedro Guinu is a Brazilian composer, musician, and producer originally from Bahia. Immersed from birth in the sounds of jazz, bossa nova and Brazilia, Guinu relocated to Rio de Janeiro where he worked as a session player and producer for artists like Rafael Arosa, IZA, WC no Beat, Julia Mestre, and Luciane Dom. He is currently touring and recording with the legendary Brazilian hip hop and rock group, Planet Hemp, as well as rapper Baiano Baco Exu do Blues. 2017 marked Guinu's debut as a songwriter and solo artist with the single ‘Hold On’, soon followed by his first album, the eponymous ''GUINU''. After immersing himself in Rio's carioca culture for a decade, Guinu has recorded his second full length LP, to be released in September on Razor N Tape Reserve. The title cut ‘Palagô’ leads the way with Baianasystem's Seko Bass transforming Guinu's future MPB classic, into a deep, dubby, Afro-Futurist dancefloor excursion that will appeal to tropical bass-obsessed DJ’s and dancers worldwide. As Bainasystem's producer, Seko Bass has been at the forefront, pushing the group's heavy and socially conscious sound to dominance in Brazil as it continues to simultaneously reverberate far beyond its borders. Razor-N-Tape fans will already know BaianaSystem through their epic collaboration with Brazilian psyche-funk legends, Antonio Carlos e Jocafi, on their track, ‘Água’, which RNT released with remixes by JKriv & Diogo Strausz as well as UK’s veteran DJ & producer Jimpster. Seko's remix reaffirms the concept of propelling Afro-Brazilian music into the future, elevating the remix further with a guest appearance from BaianaSystem bandmate and iconic Brazilian MC/vocalist, Russo Passapusso, who penned a new verse especially for the remix. Whether or not non-Brazilian listeners will connect with the song’s deep and poetic lyrics, the undeniable visceral impact of the track will be felt on a universal level.
