Originally titled, "The Buddha of Medicine: The Healing Power of Universal Law", this lecture was recorded in Los Angeles on April 12, 1964. The Medicine Buddha Hall refers to is known as Yakushi Nyorai. As with early Christians, many peoples around the world have believed that much of the root cause of sickness lies in the breaking of, or turning away from, universal or spiritual laws. By extension, many healing sects and cults have prescribed spiritual solutions to these problems, including the practices of meditation, contemplation and relaxation.
