Sources indicate that the cricketers have not contacted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to seek assistance in resolving the matter. Following the example of a former captain, they had invested with a businessman who promised unusually high returns. Among those involved are both former and current national captains. Some cricketers reportedly invested directly with the businessman. Initially, they received substantial profits, but the individual later disappeared, leaving investors unable to recover their full amounts. Over several weeks, some cricketers made attempts to reclaim their money, with a few reportedly receiving partial refunds. A well-known agent representing cricketers is also believed to have lost money in the scheme. The US-based accused, who had personal connections with several Pakistani cricketers, is reportedly unreachable as his phone is now switched off. The individual had been providing unusually high monthly returns, but these payments have reportedly not been received for the past two months. Cricketers are eager to recover their principal investments but are currently unable to contact the person allegedly behind the fraud.
