THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR REUPLOAD. DAGIT-DAGIT When farmers have a good harvest, they celebrate it through singing, dancing, and feasting. On this occasion, they do local dances. Dagit-dagit is a favorite among them. Literally, dagit means to swoop. It is a common practice in Yabton, a barrio of Ivisan, Province of Capiz. When a dancer does not perform well, anybody in the crowd can pull her or him off the dance floor. When they do this, no offense is meant but instead the act elicits much joy. The person who pulls out a dancer is the one making a dagit. This Folk Dance performed by the participating municipality of Pontevedra was produced for the Saot Capiz: Capisnon Folk Dance Virtual Showcase in celebration of the Capiztahan 2021 - the 120th Founding Anniversary of the Civil Government of the Province of Capiz.
