The chip tuning box featured in this dyno test, can be found here: https://bluesparkautomotive.com/volvo... In our latest dyno test we have this 2019 Volvo V40 1.5 T3 in for tuning and testing. After a quick installation of our Pro Petrol chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve. Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how it feels to drive. Peak power was increased, as we were able to lift it from 152hp at stock, up to 181hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph here 0:46 you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give much more consistency here, lifting every part of the rev range and really opening up in those higher revs, right up to that +29hp extra at its peak. Torque also saw some impressive improvements. At stock the engine produced 269Nm and now 297Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), you can really see where we have applied those gains. Again, showing improvements across every part of the rev range. Taking a look at the revs between 3000rpm and red line, we really iron out any of those lulls, right up to the +28Nm extra at its peak, delivering those increases exactly where it’s needed.
