Atkin LG47 demo in Stageshop

Atkin LG47 has built with Baked solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. Baked top ensures that the top is exposed to heat and pressure, so that it has already lost much of its moisture to this treatment. The result is a guitar with a played in character like an older vintage acoustic guitar. Atkin ‘Forty Seven’ is a lightly built X-braced guitar. It sounds amazing for fingerstyle playing, and also has enough size and punch to make it great for flatpicking as well. Scalloped bracing system brings out the best in this smaller body, giving a bass tone that is strong and more commanding than you would expect from a guitar of this size. Many pre-war examples had “baseball” bat sized necks but we add our standard C-shape Atkin neck. The scale length is 631mm (24 7/8"), neck is mahogany with bone nut and saddle. It has Santos Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Aged Nitro Cellulose finish, bone nut and saddle, nickel Kluson tuners. The demo recorded in Stageshop, played by Ernő Galambos CEO of Stageshop. We used Middle-Side microphone recording technique with a Neumann KM 184 at centre and Austrian Audio OC818 for the stereo ambient sides. We used UAD Apollo X4 mic preamp and AD converter and ProTools DAW. No EQ or any effects used on the recording.
