This song was featured as part of the "Silly Symphony Swings" at Disney California Adventure since the ride opened back in June 2010. This is even similar to the same exact swing ride can also be found in amusement parks, county fairs, state fairs and so on. I remember riding this one every year at the Dutchess County Fair where it does have a similar version of the "Silly Symphony Swings", instead of playing this one, it plays regular music as well. The music for this ride contains the shortened version of the "William Tell Overture". This song was first appeared in a Mickey Mouse short "The Band Concert" from 1935 which was the very first Mickey Mouse color cartoon ever made and it was based on Rossini's final movement of the "William Tell Overture", and later became the theme song to "The Lone Ranger", one of the longest running radio shows ever made back in the 1940's and then later appeared on TV in the 1950's, remember the phrase "Hi-yo Silver, away!" The music was conducted by Massimo Freccia and the Orchestra Filarmonica di Roma, and it was taken from the Reader's Digest 12-LP boxed set entitled "Festival of Light Classical Music" from 1962. UPDATE: Thanks to the recent Disney film "The Lone Ranger" for putting this music for this film. The movie is playing in theaters.
