Little Snowie 2 makes a shaved ice style that makes for a smoother product that holds syrup well - you just have to be sure it makes it to the bottom of the cup. We started to fill it half way, add flavor and then fill the rest of the way. You won't get a big puddle of flavoring at the bottom of your cup because of the snow-like consistency of the ice. This appliance makes soft fluffy and very VERY yummy snow cones at home. While it's not a commercial shaved ice machine, Little Snowie started out making these shaved ice machines for the commercial market. It makes shaved ice faster than a lot we've seen at fairs and events! This machine costs a bit more because it's not a toy. It's robust enough to use at our kid's snow cone stand this summer!
