By afternoon, that question had been answered — and with a scale that stunned even the exit polls. Early trends confirmed what most exit polls predicted: an NDA victory. But what they failed to capture was the magnitude of the mandate. The NDA has secured a two-thirds majority in the 243-seat Assembly, winning 202 seats. The BJP has emerged as the largest party, followed by its ally JD(U). The Maha gath bandhan — comprising the RJD, Congress, and Left parties — suffered a heavy defeat, despite several surveys projecting Tejashwi Yadav as the most preferred Chief Ministerial candidate. the bloc has managed just 35 seats. AIMIM has won five seats, while the Jan Suraaj Party failed to make a mark.
