Out in Bellevue Ohio and had to stop in to see this historic 18 bay roundhouse with the turntable still in place. Built in 1947 for the New York, Chicago& St. Louis rail road. It is currently owned by the Norfolk Southern Railroad and is not being used. The roof is gone but the steel trusses that supported the roof are still in place, as is the ventilation systems to bring in fresh are and evacuate exhaust fumes. It is a concrete walled structure that could be saved and should be saved for future generations to see. The first roundhouse that was built on this site was built around 1881 or 1882. Ididn't get close to the building, but from the google maps view you can see that many of the pits inside the building are still there. ENJOY!!!!
