Update and Forecast for Caldor Fire, Red Flag Warning, and Threat to Lake Tahoe Area

The Caldor Fire made a significant run toward the Lake Tahoe area yesterday afternoon and into last night. Unfortunately, the fire weather conditions over the next three days are forecasted to be even more critical with SW wind gusts coming in around 25-40mph. This along with the low relative humidity and extremely dry fuels has lead to a Red Flag Warning over the area. As of right now, around 20,000 structures are threatened and new evacuation orders have been put in place. You can subscribe to stay updated as this situation progresses.
