We spent 3 unforgettable days in Takayama Japan! One of the most beautiful and authentic places in Japan. Date: November 2025. Our journey started in Takayama , a charming mountain town known for its beautifully preserved old houses, peaceful canals, and incredible food scene. We wandered through historic streets, tasted local sake at traditional breweries, and enjoyed some Japanese meals. The second day, we took an bus trip to Shirakawa-go, one of the most beautiful villages we’ve ever visited. Surrounded by nature, this UNESCO-listed village is famous for its authentic gassho-zukuri farmhouses and fairytale-like atmosphere. It felt like stepping back in time. It was amazing with the clouds surrounding the mountains. On our final day, we headed to Kamikochi, where we went hiking through breathtaking alpine scenery. Crystal-clear rivers, towering mountains, and even some playful monkeys along the trail made this the perfect ending to our trip. If you love traditional villages, nature, and slow travel, this part of Japan will absolutely steal your heart.
