"Securing Europe: A Local Perspective" is organized by Studio Europa Maastricht and Pakhuis de Zwijger on behalf of the European Commission as part of the "Local Europe" series. As Europe faces a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape, including the full-scale war against Ukraine, growing cyber threats, strengthening European defense has become a pressing priority. But what do these global developments mean for the everyday lives of citizens and local communities? What roles do they play, and how can they prepare for an increasingly uncertain future? This event brings together a panel of local and EU experts to explore the local dimensions of these European security challenges. This project is co-funded by the European Union.
