In this video I am explaining why I replaced my Trek Fuel Ex to a new bike and I am unboxing and assembling the 2024 Canyon LUX CF7 bike. In addition, I am installing a dropper post with internal cable and Garmin lock pedals on the bike. I also remove the stock chain lube and apply Rex chain wax on the chain and remove the dorc disc. Finally I do some rear shock testing and tuning. I made a simple tool myself that helps on internal dropper post cable routing. This video shows the working principle and use of the tool. I think that Canyon Lux CF7 is the best full suspension bike of 2024 in around 4000e price category when compared XC bikes. There are several reasons: This bike has remote locking for fork and rear shock unlike many other bikes in this price category The frame is carbon The wheels in this bike are also carbon, unlike many other bikes in this price category The biggest disadvantage is that this bike does not have a dropper post and if you need it, you need to install it afterwards This bike uses Shimano drivetrain, which is in my opinion better than equivalent SRAM Also this bike does not have a carbon handlebar, but that is very easy to replace afterwards 00:00:00 Introduction 00:00:30 Video description 00:01:47 Unboxing the bike 00:04:50 Front tire and handlebar installation 00:06:03 Original seat post installation and weighting 00:06:47 Dropper post installation 00:15:38 Stock chain lube removal and Rex chain wax applying 00:16:39 Dorc Disc removal 00:17:11 Pedal installation 00:17:51 Dropper post lever replacement 00:18:14 Suspension testing and tuning 00:19:31 Summary
