What else needs to be said about Spider-Man or Neversoft's game? They're both cool. This time I've played the Sega Dreamcast version by Treyarch which is commonly known as the best version of the game. 0:00 - Bootup 5:56 - Get to the Bank 9:25 - Bank Approach 12:00 - Hostage Situation 14:59 - Stop the Bomb! 17:55 - Race to the Bugle 21:23 - Spidey vs. Scorpion! 25:19 - Police Chopper Chase 26:29 - Missile Attack 27:52 - Building Top Chase 29:48 - Scale the Girders 31:08 - Police Evaded 36:10 - Spidey vs. Rhino! 40:24 - Catch Venom 42:43 - Spidey vs. Venom! 44:50 - Sewer Entrance 47:30 - Sewer Cavern 49:50 - Subway 52:39 - Sewage Plant 55:52 - Hidden Switches 56:39 - Tunnel Crawl 58:37 - Venom's Puzzle 59:57 - The Lizard's Maze 1:03:28 - Spidey vs. Venom Again! 1:08:40 - Symbiotes Infest Bugle 1:10:47 - Elevator Descent 1:13:38 - Stop the Presses! 1:16:18 - Bugle's Basement 1:20:27 - Spidey vs. Mysterio! 1:25:24 - Waterfront Warehouse 1:29:07 - Underwater Trench 1:34:30 - Stopping the Fog 1:40:04 - Spidey vs. Doc-Ock! 1:43:10 - Spidey vs. Carnage! 1:45:30 - Spidey vs. Monster-Ock! 1:48:10 - Ending & Credits 1:55:14 - Attract Demos The Dreamcast version is pretty interesting for being maybe one of the few PS1 to Dreamcast ports that actually redid the graphics so everything has upgraded graphically with new textures and models. That being said, there is plenty of sound issues introduced in this port where sounds just play absurdly loud and areas were made way, way darker than they were on PS1 or N64. The new prerendered cinematics are interesting in that they seem to be based off of unfinished versions of the ones used in the PS1 game so despite the higher-poly characters being used, it actually ends up looking a little rough when things either look less dynamic or when the sound desyncs (and that's not getting into the mistakes there are like anytime the PS1 models show up!) Despite that, this is probably the only reliably smooth version of the game that runs at an almost solid 30fps throughout without most of the issues the other versions get if you overclock them to get to that framerate. All in all, it's not a bad way to experience the game. I would say that it's one of the two only acceptable versions to play this game as the original PS1 version still does certain things better.
