DECEMBER 🎄 @1secondeveryday A month of slowing down, staying home, and soaking in all the holiday magic ✨ Decking the halls, Buc-ee’s Santa 🎅🏻 costumes, Lilly’s winter program at @primroseofsouthcharlotte, and visits with Santa at Jingle Bowl. Frozen character visits, festive crafts, hot chocolate nights by the fire 🔥, cookies with Mrs. Claus 🧑🏻‍🎄, and cocoa with Buddy the Elf made the sweetest memories. We loved Waverly Wonderland an afternoon full of festive fun, sweet treats 🍬, bounce houses, yard games, snowfall ❄️, and holiday cheer for the whole family ❤️. Our annual Light Up Allyson Park luminary night ✨ brought neighbors together for playtime and hot chocolate, plus cozy pancake mornings at home 🥞. We celebrated Lilly turning 4️⃣ 🎂 cupcakes and being mystery readers at school 💗, her requested birthday dinner at @chickfila, a fun day at @birkdalevillage with lunch at @bartaco 🌮, and a friends’ party at @sportsconnection 🏀. Our home transformed into the most beautiful Nutcracker ballet 🩰 birthday celebration with close friends, glitter everywhere ✨, sweet treats, followed by a family pizza party with gifts 🎁. We celebrated dad O’dad’s birthday with brunch 🍴, went ice skating ⛸️, and enjoyed face paint at The Bowl. Our little Panthers lovers got to see Sir Purr and the Top Cats and meet Rico Dowdle 🐾🏈. Lilly’s parent observation night at @millerstreet melted our hearts seeing her tap and ballet combo and how much she loves dance 🩰🎀. December also brought book club nights, mystery reading for Brooks’ kindergarten class, wrapping gifts 🎁, and lots of Christmas movies. A date night 😘 at @albertine followed by Cirque de Noël with @cltsymphony 🎶 felt extra special while Cha Cha and O’dad took the kids to the Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular ✨. Bowling birthday parties 🎳, a Panthers game in a SUITE 🏈🤩, a merry honky tonk party 🤠, and a Nutcracker performance 🩰. We celebrated Christmas Eve Eve with gingerbread houses, outdoor play in beautiful weather ☀️, and watching the Disney cruise 🚢 video and Disney photo book I finalized for Christmas memories we will treasure forever 💗. Christmas Eve was spent in pajamas baking cookies 🍪, making s’mores by the fire 🍫, and reading The Polar Express. Christmas Day was slow and joyful every gift savored, cousin play, and a wonderful family dinner 🎁. We wrapped up the month with Gingerbread Lane, playtime at The Bowl, WinterFest at Carowinds 🎢, and a NYE dinner party and sleepover 🥂✨ sparklers, games, and ringing in the New Year together. Being home, together, was truly the greatest gift of all 🤍
