This Poma Challenger high-speed quad replaced a Doppelmayr quad in 1993, and the Doppelmayr quad became the Edge lift. The express quad runs from below the top of Flying Mile and ends at the summit, where the Gondola ends. The name is a play on words for the high-speed trains in France (Télésiège à Grande Vitesse in this case). In October 2014, the bottom terminal was damaged in a fire, and had to be repaired. Coincidentally, another Poma Challenger high-speed quad in Marble Mountain caught fire, so the motor for that lift was installed on the TGV lift during repairs. This reduced the top speed from 1100 fpm to 1000 fpm. The lift has 92 chairs and 15 towers. Estimated speed is 862 fpm. Recorded Jan. 1, 2025.
