Brought to you by the latest collaboration between ‪@rodrigogonzalezalfonso‬ and @damianjproject we call it ‪@ajazzvamos‬ , where #tango meets #jazz . This April 28th 2025 Damian J traveled to #BuenosAires #Argentina for the Nada Tour, a relaunching of the debut collaborative album fusing these two opposing genres in one unique and innovative sound, NADA EN TU INTERIOR, the premier of this album has been evolving throughout this tour of Buenos Aires performing this music live for the first time in front of an audience in a beautiful #downtown #loft overlooking the Argentine capital city. Here we come together to perform original compositions by Rodrigo Gonzalez Alfonso and transcendental compositions by those who influence us most, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Bach, and many others. Joining ajazzvamos for the first time is the masterful Federico De Petre (   / @federicodepetre  ) on the classical guitar, transcribing and arranging several of these pieces for his six strings. He joins Rodrigo Gonzalez Alfonso for some traditional Brazilian compositions and Argentine tangos. The two combined perform several pieces that will leave you wanting more. Concluding this unforgettable initial session is a composition named Tristeza, where Damian J joins in on the tenor saxophone. The three conclude the evening with this sullen lullaby from yesteryear. On May 15th, 2025, the Nada Tour will perform a free concert for all at the ESNAOLA—Sala de Conciertos ASTOR PIAZZOLLA in Buenos Aires. The two musical visionaries will be accompanied by several others, including Santiago Battilana, Ursula Steingart, Sofia Alonso, and Federico De Petre once again. The show begins at 7 p.m. for all wishing to attend. Following the performance at ESNAOLA we will be performing a secondary session, deemed The Loft Sessions Part II, which will be televised on the #Facebook LIVE platform beginning at 8PM EDT. The tango and Argentine traditional music meet jazz improvisation, resulting in a mixture of different influences including Blues, Boogie Woogie, Chacarera, Bebop, Samba, Bossa Nova, and many others. ajazzvamos is a collaboration between Rodrigo Gonzalez Alfonso and Damian J since 2005, culminating with the debut recording Nada En Tu Interior, available now on all streaming platforms and will be for immediate CD distribution this summer 2025.
