3-2025 This weekend I went on a yacht tour around Miami to celebrate my sister’s @miley_arguello and @sammygotbands birthdays. I had my concerns and reservations since I had not been on a boat in over ten years. My past experiences have all been disastrous! The first time I got seasick as a teen going deep sea fishing with the family in Ft. Myers. The other time, a flimsy boat nearly capsized in the middle of the ocean slamming over massive waves heading to Corn Island while visiting Nicaragua (in my late twenties). What’s the problem right? Well, for starters I can’t exactly swim too good. I swim holding my nose so there’s only so much I can hold my breath. Explaining it to the other party goers was just as embarrassing. This is why I wouldn’t dare consider a triathlon or much less an Ironman. Imagine me swimming around, holding my nose with a life vest!? Or even worse, cramping up in the ocean. Hell no! Once I relaxed a bit, I was able to enjoy the sights navigating through the Miami River to get to Biscayne Bay. You pass Brickell, Brickell Key and dock around Key Biscayne for a few hours. That’s where the dancing, drunken debauchery occurs. Some swam around but of course it was too deep for me to take the plunge. Watching the sunset over the water is scenic. You head back at nighttime overlooking the lit up Miami skyline. They said the traffic was heavier due to it being spring break. The weather was cooler than expected. It was a fun, memorable experience. I didn’t drown, so that’s a plus. Happy Birthday 🎂🎊 to both!
