When an autumn leaves, when there are no more leaves on the sacred trees, when the familiar landscapes return into their stasis state, a cloak of delicately arranged crystals touches the land. Tremendous temperature falls create otherworldly soundscapes on a freezing lake. Cymbal like cracks and pops ripple far into the dark, passing by the waves, effortlessly suspended just above the lake. The soft radiance of a lambent light reaches no further than a meter wide. What never leaves is an ominous presence of a great depth where rookas and Undveld reign. @rookas and @undveld are two Lithuanian DJs and producers, both knee-deep into drone and ambient soundscapes, although first and foremost, who are techno heads. From previously curating one of the key techno nights in Vilnius nightlife, to releasing music on @offworldcoloniesltd, @orderanddevotion, to name a few, or to managing and contributing to their label – @staticinmotion – both have a story to tell.
