Thank you for your continued support of these #Discodelicos sessions! Today, we’re proud to present Reggaedelic (@reggaedelic)! Nina Cole (AKA Reggaedelic) is a longtime selector of Jamaican rocksteady and early reggae music. Her roots stretch back to the late 1990s LA ska scene, which inspired her to begin scouring and digging for Jamaican vinyl, building an impressive collection over the course of the last couple of decades. During the course of her musical journey, she’s had the honor to play records at different events for Jamaican legends like Derrick Morgan, Peter Austin, Derrick Harriot, and Keith & Tex, along with some local favorites like Hepcat and The Delirians. She’s also been invited as a guest selector internationally, showcasing her collection in the likes of Japan, Mexico, England, and Germany. If you’re in the bay area, she has residencies at Tip Top Reggae Club at the Knockout and Bangarang Crash at St. Mary’s Pub, with the occasional Ska Fitness Happy Hour pop-ups that she hosts. This episode is a nutty one! 45 minutes of delectable rocksteady and proto-reggae, with Nina throwing down heavy rarities for our prosperity!
