Enjoy relaxing nature sounds walking on a forest trail with 13 year old beagle silky terrier mix, Willow. Thursday, February 26, 2026. Today was a good one. It was only 21 F out. I probably should have had a jacket on Willow. It just didn't feel that cold because there was no wind. Plus, she had just been sitting outside earlier in the morning so I figured she was comfortable. She really appeared to be. Anyway, lots of birds! I heard a couple of Eastern Bluebirds when we got close to the bridge. They were perched in a small tree with a good view of the nesting boxes near the creek. I think they may be the ones that nested there last year! 🤞🏼 🩵 💙 Once we crossed the creek, there was a red-winged blackbird that was in the highly coveted spot of the swamp willow in the center of the swamp area. As we were coming back to the house past the gate and along the row of arborvitae, she was pouting because I told her she couldn't go to the neighbors' house. And me pulling off the burrs, if it bothered her, she would have walked away. Hehehe Gosh, I love spring!
