If they get thrombosed that means blood gets clotted inside those blood vessels it becomes painful and it will be quite swollen and the patient will have severe pain and it requires a surgical removal as early as possible. So prolapsed thrombosed hemorrhoid is a different thing. Just prolapsed hemorrhoids they also require surgery because prolapsed hemorrhoids is already a late stage of hemorrhoids or piles and has to be only operative treatment is available for that medical treatment will not cure the disease. So for the operative there are different varieties of surgeries. In that what we use is called a Doppler Guided Hemorrhoidal Arterial Ligation with Rectoanal repair or a combination of Doppler with Lasers to shrink the muscles and also take care of the main supply and prevent the recurrence of the disease.
