In December 2024 I got the flu and while lying on the sofa, watching YouTube videos, I saw a watercolour tuition video by Javid Tabatabaei. He painted a village house. I was transfixed and a week binge watching videos by Javid Tabatabaei, Oliver Pyle, Thomas W. Schaller, Chris Petri, Charles Evans and Yong Chen - now I was completely hooked. I sent for my first tiny Windsor & Newton paint set and a thick pad of paper, not knowing what I was buying at all, and I got started painting, Although I went to art college as a mature student, I studied Fashion and I avoided the Fine Art department like the plague after a tragic run-in with some charcoal and a male life model. So I had never painted anything before IN MY LIFE but I become a very novice painter at the age of 63.
