ARRMA VORTEKS BASEBALL DIAMOND: Testing new Proline Badlands MX28 2.8" 6X30 Tires/Wheels I decided to take the Arrma Vorteks with new Proline Badlands MX28 2.8" 6X30 Tires/Wheels to my local park about a mile away from where I live and run on the baseball diamond. Lots of fun! Only negative is the red clay/sand they use for the baseball diamond sticks to everything. These Proline Badlands in this size are oversized for the Vorteks, but I wanted a little more ground clearance and these did the trick. They are absolutely great on this surface and on grass, sand, mud, and the beach where I live in Ormond By The Sea, FL. They are a little oversized, but provide the little added ground clearance I was looking for. I do like the stock tires for general all-around and think Arrma did a good job selecting them. For street racing and general pavement (asphalt and concrete) I like the Proline Street Fighter LP 2.8" 6X30 tires/wheels - they are really good on pavement. I also like the Duratrax C2 Bandit ST sites/wheels too, however, I think the Prolines have the edge in performance. I use a DJI Osmo Action 4 camera for video, 4K, in RS Mode (Rock Steady) stabilization and it is fantastic compared to my GoPro cameras. I can mount the DJI Osmo Action 4 on either front or back, and face either direction from both. It was easy to add 1/4-20 mounting points on the chassis that protrude through the body - (you can see the 1/4-20 bolts sticking through the body in the video). I sometimes mount the DJI GPS module inside the body to get telemetry overlay on the video. I have done speed tests with the stock Vorteks with street racing tires/wheels and have reached 62 mph in a straight line. This Vorteks is crazy fast. Had to turn the AVC rate down a little more than half way to be able to control steering at hight speeds. The Vorteks is very stable at high speeds, more than any of my other RCs that start with a "T". You can view that video here on YouTube at: • ARRMA VORTEKS STREET TEST
